Additional important information

• Above rates are based on two people. Additional charge of AUD 20,- pp/night applies up to maximum occupancy.
• Waves and Wildlife is located 20km from the closest shop. It is best to bring food from the mainland or organise to purchase supplies, (Kingscote has a large supermarket, great seafood and butcher), on the way. There is a Cafe at – the beach, but the opening times/days are seasonal.
• There approximately 600 meters of unsealed road to the Cottages- no 4WD is necessary but please consider if you don’t like gravel roads/driveways.
• There is no internet service available and only Telstra mobile phones will work outside, on top of the hill. Each Cottage has a phone for local calls and can call anywhere with a phonecard availabe from any Post Office.
• Waves and Wildlife has no airconditioning. There are a few days in the year when the ocean breeze and ceiling fans are not quite sufficient. Ths is not often but please consider this if it would case any concerns when booking over warmer months.
• Please contact us prior to arrival if you plan to arrive in the dark (not recommended due to wildlife), so we can give directions and leave lights on and let you know which Cottage you are booked in to make your arrival as comfortable as possible. Otherwise you will find a note at the office (top Cottage), letting you know which Cottage you are booked into and location of key.
• Waves and Wildlife Cottages are fully self contained.
• We are available anytime by phone for any concerns or needs and attend to these very quickly but the office is not staffed at all times.
• Check in is anytime after 2pm – flexible at no extra charge whenever possible by prior arrangement.
• Check out by 10am – flexible at no extra charge whenever possible by prior arrangement.
• There are no washing machines in the Cottage. The closest Laundromat is in Parndana.

Important Terms and Conditions

• $50 non-refundable deposit is due to confirm the booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of arrival either by credit card, (Visa or MC), or cash.
• Key is usually left in the door of Cottage by 2pm. We will let you know which Cottage by putting a note in the office or calling you. If concerned, please ring anytime. If checking in after dark please advise for directions and lights left on.
• A cancellation is possible till 30 days prior arrival. Please note the $50 deposit is non-refundable.
• Payments can only be refunded if the cottage can be rebooked for the cancelled period.
